Hey everyone! It’s your girl Julie, and we’re back with another segment of “Salty & Lit.” In today’s post, we’re going to be talking about “surrender.” Let’s pray.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for teaching us about surrender. Help us to know surrender comes from the heart. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Surrender means to give up completely or agree to forgo especially in favor of another (Merriam-Webster). I don’t know about you, but that’s a bit hard. Jesus, it’s hard, but help me to trust Your plan. That’s the prayer we have to start praying nowadays because sometimes, we don’t want to live surrendered lives. We want to live how we want, do what we feel, live according to our flesh, but the thing I’m reminded of is I said yes to God, meaning I made Him Lord of my life, meaning His way goes.

If any man comes after me, let him deny himself. (Luke 9:23)

It’s a call to discipleship. It’s a cost. Surrender.
