Step into It.
What if I told you to step into it?
It.
That thing you know God is calling you,
But identity has been playing you left and right.
What if I told you God is right?
That it will work out, but you just have to
Step into it.
God has already called you to be a certain identity, but it’s up to you to step into it. It. It could be anything. It could be a position the Lord already spoke to you about. It could be a season the Lord has called you to. It could be anything, but you and God know.
Who are you becoming? Who has God called you to be? Are you inviting Him into every detail of your life, molding you into the person He designed for you to already become?
Hey everyone. It’s your girl Julie, and we’re back with another segment of “Salty & Lit.” In today’s post, we’re going to be talking about “becoming.” Let’s pray.
Heavenly Father, You are so good. Thank You for the gift of becoming. You use all things for Your glory, to make us more like You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
I’m not sure if many of you know, but before I moved sites, I used to be called “Becoming Salty & Lit.” It was about the process that I took to “become” who God wanted me to be, but something that I realized is that we just have to step into it. Oftentimes, we can make our identities into a big deal, thinking we haven’t achieved them yet, but we have to step into who God has already called us,, and one of the things He calls us is loved.
When God says you’re loved, it’s a fact. In Romans 5:8, it says God demonstrated His love toward us (that means me and you, sis (and bro, if you’re reading this). John 3:16 says that God so loved the world - the world includes me and you. God loves because that is His nature, and we are objects of His love.
That means, your identity is loved. You are a loved daughter of God, clothed with God’s love and favor and mercy on you. All You have to do is step into it.
What does that mean to step into it?
Accept what He says about you and start aligning yourself to that truth. That means, reading His Word about what it means to be loved and allowing that to transform your mind. Romans 12:2 speaks about being transformed by the renewing of your mind, and you must read the Word to be transformed, so friend, be transformed by reading God’s Word and step into who God has created you to be. The identity He’s always called you to be: loved in addition to being salty, and lit. Let’s pray.
Heavenly Father, thank You that our identities are found in You alone. Teach us to lean not on our own thoughts but to trust You with it all. Help us to know Your Word because Your truth sets us free. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
That’s all I have for today. Don’t forget these three things: you are loved, salty, and lit! Talk to you soon! 🧡
God has already called you to be a certain identity, so it’s up to you to step into it.
