Take Inventory.
I remember voicing my frustrations, crying about the load that I was carrying
“Woah, woah, woah!” Why are you crying?
Because I feel stressed
It’s okay I will help you
A conversation with my dad
Sometimes, the biggest thing that you can do is say no.
Hey y’all! It’s your girl Julie, back with another segment of “Salty & Lit,” and in today’s post, we’re going to talk about boundaries. Let’s pray.
Dear Heavenly Father, You are good. Thank You for teaching that no’s are important. Help us to know how to use our no’s well. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Lately, I’ve been conversing with capacity. You see, I’m thinking I can handle things, but in reality, something is changing. I don’t feel my capacity is the same as it used to be. And with that comes adjustments.
Sometimes, we think we know the answer — drop everything, but what if we prayed and planned about it? You know, take inventory of our lives.
There are many things in our lives that seem good, but they are not the “better” thing.
I’m thinking about Mary and Martha — Martha had a choice (she chose a good thing), but Mary chose the better one.* Oftentimes, we can get caught up in doing things that we lose sight of what really matters: time with God.
*For Mary and Martha’s encounter, read Luke 10:38-42).
Friend, God wants to have time with you and it’s important to discern what’s needed right now in this season of your life.
Let’s pray.
Dear Heavenly Father, You are the God of seasons. Teach us to number our days and to understand that You have the final say in our lives. Teach us to steward our time well and to bring You glory in everything we do. Help us to not be so busy for You that we miss time with You. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
That’s all I have for today! Don’t forget these three things:
You are loved, salty, and lit! Talk to you soon! 🧡
