If Any Man.
When we talk about faithfulness, what do you think about? For me, I think about loyalty; being worthy of trust.
One of the things I’m learning about God is faithfulness. How do I understand His character and in turn, how am I understanding myself in this?
Hey everyone! It’s your girl Julie, and we’re back with another segment of “Salty & Lit,” and in today’s post, we’re going to be talking about faith. Let’s pray.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithfulness. You teach us that You desire faithfulness in every thing that we do. Help us to be trustworthy - people You count on. Thank You Father. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
When a task is given to you, how do you approach it? Do you approach it with rolling eyes, or do you see it as a way of stewarding what God has given you?
Being honest, I struggle with being faithful at times, in the sense that I don’t “feel” like doing something, but I’ve been growing in feelings can’t define how I operate in my day-to-day, or I’d be stuck; yes, it’s important to check in with one’s feelings, but they should not be the driving force for your decisions. What I mean by that is this: say I have a job, I get in my feelings, and now I quit. I don’t have a job or money coming in because I made a decision based on feelings, yet when I decide to quit based on other reasons and with the approval of God because as Christians, our lives are not our own, then I’m not being led or driven by feelings.
Sometimes, faithfulness looks like a “stick-with-it-ness.” You stay the course, even when things get rough. Even when you’re a Christian, there are moments in which your faith walk is tough, but staying the course shows you’re being faithful in what God has told you to do. But in this, I want us to focus on attitudes: what is our attitude when we face trials or something we don’t like? Do we complain or do what God has called us to do with joy? Friend, there are times when things may get tough and you may get weary, but the Bible tells us don’t grow weary, for at the right time, we will reap.
But it’s up to us to decide how we’ll reap. Let’s stay faithful to what He’s called us to do and seek help when we need it. Let’s pray.
Heavenly Father, You are faithful. We can stay faithful by learning about Your faithfulness. Help us to remain faithful to the things You’ve called us to. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
That’s all I have for today! Don’t forget these three things: you are loved, salty, and lit! Talk to you soon! 🧡
