What’s the Fruit You Carry?

Hey y’all! It’s your girl Julie, and I’m back with another segment of “Salty & Lit,” and in today’s post, we’re going to be talking about fruit. Before we dive in, let’s pray.

Dear Heavenly Father God, I come before You, saying thank You for who You are. Thank You for this day, that we can rejoice and be glad in it. Father, I surrender this time to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

When I talk about fruit, I’m referring to the visible results that come from an internal seed being planted. In the Bible, it says, “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.” That means whatever is happening on the inside will eventually show up on the outside for all to see. That outward display is your fruit.

The Bible talks about good fruit and bad fruit. Bad fruit consists of things that simply do not resemble Christ. In Galatians 5:19–21, Paul lists them as:

  • Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, and lewdness (sexual immorality and impurity)

  • Idolatry and sorcery (putting anything above God or engaging in dark spiritual practices)

  • Hatred, contentions, jealousies, and outbursts of wrath (anger and wanting what others have)

  • Selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, and envy (causing division and pushing false teachings)

  • Murders, drunkenness, and revelries (wild partying and living without restraint)

The Bible warns us plainly that those who live this way will not inherit the kingdom of God.

So, what does this mean for us? It means it's time to get our act right.

Time is running out, sis!

God is waiting for His people to stand pure and spotless before Him. He isn't looking for excuses—He’s looking for lives that actively display the Fruit of the Spirit:

  • Love

  • Joy

  • Peace

  • Patience

  • Kindness

  • Goodness

  • Faithfulness

  • Gentleness

  • Self-Control

    (Galatians 5:22–23)

The Lord desires a spotless bride, so let’s be prepared by waiting spotlessly.

Let’s pray.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for showing that You do not play. You require us to be spotless in front of You. Remove the things that will keep us from entering Your Presence. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
