The Wiles of the Devil.
Therefore, put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:10, NKJV).
How many of you put clothes on in the morning? I know, wild question right? A lot of us remember to put clothes on, but how many of us remember to put on our spiritual clothes?
Hey girl and boy! It’s your girl Julie, back with another segment of “Salty & Lit,” and in today’s post, we’re going to be talking about putting on the full armor of God. Let’s pray.
Dear Heavenly Father, You are good and You are kind. Thank You for being strong. Help us to lean on You to withstand the devil. Thank You for being our strength. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Ephesians 6:10 commences a long idea about putting on the full armor of God. It goes into detail about our wrestle not being against flesh and blood, but who it’s actually against: the devil and the entities that work for him - spirits.
God had made us victorious over the devil, but we have to conquer them by putting on the full armor of God. We can go into more detail about that another time, but what I want to focus on is the wiles.
You see, wiles are “deceit…trickery…” things used to throw us off course with our relationship with God.
You see, the devil is cunning. He waits for an opportune time to throw us off track and see if we’ll come into agreement with his lies.
But here’s the thing sis, you have to stand. You can’t fight if you’re not choosing to. The enemy will attack, but you need to be ready.
How can you do so? By putting the full armor of God.
Let’s pray to learn more about it.
Dear Heavenly Father, You are good. Teach us how to put on the full armor of God. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Today, we’re only focusing on the schemes, but I pray we have another time to learn more about it, that is the armor of God.
