The Name.

The name of the Lord is a strong tower;

The righteous run in

And they are saved…

(Proverbs 18:10)

Hey everyone! It’s your girl Julie, and these past few days, God has been reminding me about the fact that He’s safe, but first let’s pray.

Dear God, You are good. You are kind. Teach us to know Your character. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Many years ago, William McDowell released a song that went like this: the name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run in, and they are saved. When we think of a strong tower, do you understand its meaning? When troubles rise, you can call on the name of the Lord and be saved.

Something the Lord has been checking me on is the fact that when troubles come, I isolate, but He’s reminding me that He’s safe and I can run to Him about everything. The same is for you too friend. You may not isolate, but you can still come to God about everything.

He wants to hear from you about your day-to-day: where you invite Him into every detail of your life, “your worries and cares” because He cares (1 Peter 5:7, NLT).

The lie that says this “thing” is too small for God to care about is not true, because God cares about you. He can give you a new perspective regarding it, but it comes from bringing it to Him first.

So friend, the name of the Lord is a strong tower, but the righteous (who we are in Christ) have to run into it. You can’t be saved if you don’t call on the name of the Lord. Here’s my question to you: What would it look like for you to talk to God about everything going on in your life? The Bible says that He cares for you and is waiting to hear from you.

If you don’t know how to start, you can mention that and ask Him to show Himself to you.

Let’s pray.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for being good. Thank You for being a strong tower. Help us to understand that in our day-to-day and lean on You regarding everything. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

That’s all I have for today!

Don’t forget these three things: you are loved, salty, and lit! Talk to you soon! 🧡
