Hey everyone! It’s your girl Julie, back with another segment of “Salty & Lit.” In today’s post, we’re going to be talking about God being light. Let’s pray.
Dear Heavenly Father, You are so good. You are so kind. We thank You for being the light. Help us to follow Your footsteps. Thank You Abba. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
When Jesus came on earth, He referred to Himself as the LIGHT OF THE WORLD, and whoever follows Him will not walk in darkness (John 8:12). That means, Jesus brings light to the darkness in this world, and it’s up to us to choose whether we want to walk in darkness or not.
You see, Jesus says that whoever follows Him will not walk in darkness, meaning there is an action step done on our end: one must obey God to not walk in darkness. You can say that you’re a Christian, but if you’re not following God’s commands, are you really walking in obedience to Him and in turn, in the light?
Friend, God takes obedience very seriously, and He says obedience is a way for us to walk in the light. As a matter of fact, it is the way. If we walk in the light, we won’t be living in darkness. What do you choose: to walk in light or to walk in darkness? Let’s pray.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for being good. You are kind. Thank You for the time spent in Your Presence. I pray we would remain in the light, as You want us to. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
That’s all I have for today! Don’t forget these three things: you are loved, salty, and lit!
Talk to you soon! 🧡
