It’s a Process.
And I am certain that God, who began a good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns (Philippians 1:6, NLT).
Hey y’all, it’s your girl Julie, back with another segment of “Salty & Lit.” In today’s post, we’re going to be talking about a process we call life.
Let’s pray.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the process You give us through life. Help us to know Your process is to make us more like You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
I was reading an article, and the author included this verse, Philippians 1:6, and something stood out to me: It’s all a process. While she was talking about her personal journey in life, I’m learning that in all of our lives, it’s all a process. She had some detours, so God could take her where she needed to be, but it’s all a process.
Through that verse, I’m learning that our process/journey is never done until Jesus returns or when we die.
As someone who loves results and the finished product, I tend to value the end rather than the journey it takes to get there. Yet reading this passage, I’m learning that regardless of what phase I’m in, I’ll always be in a process, and it’ll never be finished until Jesus Christ returns or when I die, whichever comes first.
We’ll always be on a journey of being worked on by God, being His masterpiece, and doing His good works as we’re being processed by Him.
I’ll be the first to admit, I do not like the process. In fact, if I could skip the process, I would. However, if I received certain things before being processed, I’d run them to the ground, so I have to be thankful that God knows when to let me get things. It’s all a perspective in knowing that my journey is truly never finished until Christ returns.
So my encouragement for you, friend, is that you’re on a journey; trust the God of the journey, and let Him guide your steps.
Let’s pray.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word and how You illuminate things for us. Help us to understand that we’re in a journey. Help us to trust the process You’re putting us through. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Don’t forget you are loved, salty, and lit! Talk to you soon! 🧡
