Freedom.

“Whom the Son sets free is free indeed.” (John 8:36)

Hey everyone! It’s your girl Julie, and we’re back with another segment of “Salty & Lit.” In today’s post, we’re going to talk about freedom. Let’s pray.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the freedom that comes from You. Help us to know Your truth: that the truth will set us free. Help us to come against the lies of the enemy and to be strengthened by You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

How many of you know what it means to be free? Oftentimes, when we think of freedom, we can think of doing what we want, as in we’re the owners of our lives, when we’re really not.

When God calls us to be free, it means we follow His steps and His directions, and that leads to freedom.

When God calls us to something, He knows the best path for us. He knows exactly the path we should take and when we should surrender. However, when we don’t, when we choose our own path, we let God we don’t trust Him. It could lead us to a path that we weren’t supposed to take and we end up suffering for it.

It’s not easy being free. There was a death that allowed us to be free: Christ’s, and we’d be remiss if we take advantage of His death to do what we wanted.
