Accions de Gras

“What shall I render to Jehovah for He has done so very much for me?”

Hey y’all! It’s your girl Julie, and I’m back with another segment of “Salty & Lit.” In today’s post, we’ll be talking about Accions de Gras, which means “thanksgiving.”

Heavenly Father, You are good. You’ve done so much in our lives. Help us to see that and to have a posture of gratitude wherever we go. Give us a spirit of remembrance. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

When you think of an Accion de Gras, in Haitian culture, it’s a thanksgiving service. It’s a way to give thanks to God for something He has done for your life. When the Lord delivered the Israelites out of places, He told them to take stones from the place they were in, so they can remember what God did in that situation (Joshua 4). When one has an Accion de Gras, it’s similar in that way, where they are having an event memorializing what God has done for them. Is there anything God has done for you lately?
