Friends Prayer.
Dear God, thank You for the value of friends. In Your Word, it says, “9 Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor.” That means when I am by myself, I can hurt myself and not have someone backing me up. Thank You for the Holy Spirit who is always with me and for teaching me that with friends, 10 For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.” That means, I have someone to help me up in the midst of trouble. You tell me in the Word, “But woe to him who is alone when he falls,” because “he has no one to help him up.” Help me to not live a life of loneliness, but to engage in the godly community that You have set before me. Show me the right people. Help me to discern those people in my life. I thank You Abba for it all, and help me to be a good friend. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Verses taken from Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, NKJV.
11 Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm;
But how can one be warm alone?
12 Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him.
And a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Thank You for showing me that I need friends in my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
